The sharp wings of a small kittiwake, one of many seabirds within the gull family, sweep across the jagged ridge of an iceberg off the coast of Svalbard. Icebergs serve as visual archives for our planet's polar regions, chronicling their evolutionary trajectory with crystalline detail. Each fractured layer, striated face, and hexagonal pattern is another page in the narrative of glacial processes spanning millennia.
