This image was created around the extravagant lifestyle of the rich – Thus the 1967 Ferrari car with a multi-millionaire playboy called Julian Moulton who together with his brother jointly owned 80% share hold of the Chase Manhattan Bank at that time. The gorgeous lady is Maren Greve wearing a beautiful suede coat from Jean Muir and is married to David Enthoven the music manager of Robbie Williams. The quirky midget chauffeur Willy Shearer was an actor/circus performer best known for his performances in Dr Who, The Avengers & The Tommy Cooper shows is standing there holding the door open, cigarette in his mouth – very much a moment from that very wild time in Sixties. Willy wanted to be in all my further photos and we discussed him just being in them in some way or another not always in sharp focus but just there. We aligned the idea to Durer the painter who used for a period of time to put a mouse in every picture and you would have to find it! We thought we should do the same. It was a shame that we never did this as it would have been an incredible idea that I think in today's viewing would have raised the curiosity of the photographs. Se kunstnerprofilJIM LEE (f. 1945) er en britisk fotograf og filmregissør med en karriere de fleste bare kan drømme om. For Jim har motefotografering alltid handlet om modellene og ikke klærne. Han hadde sin storhetstid på 60- og 70-tallet, og var kjent som en provokatør med sine særegne fotografier. Lee er representert ved flere museer og betydningsfulle samlinger verden over, og er det man kan kalle en «collector's artist».
Lee emigrerte til Australia i 1962 og bosatte seg i Sydney hvor han jobbet for fotografen Jon van Gaalen, som lærte ham om foto og mørkeromsarbeid. Jim fattet rask stor interesse for foto, og jobbet freelance med å ta bilder på bl.a. konserter, og hans bilder av the Beatles og the Rolling Stones kom på trykk i Sydney Morning Herald. Som 18-åring fotograferte han sin modellkjæreste og fikk bildet publisert i australske Vogue.
