This shot was a statement on the correctness of a Priest impulsively crossing a beautiful woman in the street and ripping off his collar – Knowing that he can't have the desire for this woman and remain a Priest - so turning his back on priesthood in exchange for this desire to feel the compassion of his attraction for this gorgeous woman seemed correct – I was also inspired to photograph this subject as much evidence of incorrect behavior has been topical and newsworthy in the recent days. I felt it was worth shooting as a triptych – somehow the three stages of this action were all important. Perhaps more typical of me as I'm more of a film director than a photographer and when I shoot photographs they are more like movie stills of a continuous action. Having said that frame three on the right of this image is an encapsulation of the action and works as a, 'stand alone', photograph too. Shot on the Digital Nikon Z6 camera with a 24-70 / F4 zoom lens.

JIM LEE (f. 1945) er en britisk fotograf og filmregissør med en karriere de fleste bare kan drømme om. For Jim har motefotografering alltid handlet om modellene og ikke klærne. Han hadde sin storhetstid på 60- og 70-tallet, og var kjent som en provokatør med sine særegne fotografier. Lee er representert ved flere museer og betydningsfulle samlinger verden over, og er det man kan kalle en «collector's artist».

Lee emigrerte til Australia i 1962 og bosatte seg i Sydney hvor han jobbet for fotografen Jon van Gaalen, som lærte ham om foto og mørkeromsarbeid. Jim fattet rask stor interesse for foto, og jobbet freelance med å ta bilder på bl.a. konserter, og hans bilder av the Beatles og the Rolling Stones kom på trykk i Sydney Morning Herald. Som 18-åring fotograferte han sin modellkjæreste og fikk bildet publisert i australske Vogue.
