Kunstnerens egen kommentar
This image was created as if… “two ships were passing in the night!” … an unlikely but extraordinary moment when, in a railway station Café a woman in one group of people noticed a man in another group, both attracted to one another – their meeting is through a mirror so therefore more distant and complex. The woman pro-vocatively tries to get the attention of the man – the man is enticed away from his partner momentarily as he sees the woman's hand up as if to attract his attention. He responds by metaphorically breathing in the scent from her pointed fingers as if her perfume was intoxicating, certainly alluring, possibly erotic. The woman's hand divides the man from his partner whilst she is inattentive, the mirror acts to divide this couple even further. A moment to treasure a possibility that never happened but a moment never forgotten.
