  • Om Gunilla Holm Platou

  • GUNILLA HOLM PLATOU (født 1972) er velkjent for sine humoristiske og oppfinnsomme ku-motiver. Mange av disse bildene har artige titler hvor hun spiller på at ordene inneholder "ku" eller "Q". Selv om hun sannsynligvis kommer til å jobbe videre med ku-motivene sine er Holm Platou nå sterkt involvert i et prosjekt hun har kalt "Rødlista".

    - Med tegninger og ord prøver vi å beskrive menneskelige tilstander, også tunge temaer som lengsel og ensomhet. De fleste mennesker bærer jo på en drøm om å bli elsket. På gifteringboksen som min mann oppbevarte gifteringene våre i før han fridde til meg, meislet han inn setningen: Det er du og jeg som er oss to. Ordene bare datt ut av hjertet hans, og de inspirerte meg til å lage kubildet om kjærlighet. Dette bildet er mitt bestselgende verk. Det viser to dyr som leier hverandre.
